English 420, Business Writing

I was pretty happy with our technology presentation on GarageBand. During the explanation of parts and examples of what you can do in the program most of the class seemed to be fairly interested. On Wednesday we also worked on the rest of our White Paper rough draft. All of us had written our parts out so this meeting was mostly just to throw everything together and come up with a format for the entire thing. We also decided to move some things around from our original outline. We noticed that network solutions had been included into two levels of the paper so we joined the two and put them both in the same level. Brad was unable to make the meeting in person but we sent information back and forth through email and AIM. This way he was able to keep up with what we were doing to the paper and also send any extra writing for his part. This ended up taking longer than we had originally thought. We also had problems with the paper being way too long so we decided to go through and cut some things that weren't necessarily important to the overall message. We got the paper down closer to the limit but then decided there were some parts that should be added to the paper to increase the readability. These included introductions to each implementation step and an introduction to the overall paper. In the end I think it turned out pretty well. We still need to add some pictures and tables or graphs to give better visualization to the White Paper as a whole. Hopefully, we gave some good options for Knight Co. to fix their communication technologies and move themselves into the 21st century.
