On Wednesday night, March 5, the group met up to work on the rough draft of the white paper project. Brad could not make it to the meeting because he had to work at one of the computer labs. However, we kept Brad updated with what changes we were making to the white paper through Instant Messenger.
Firstly, we combined all four of our writing parts together and organized them in order. Secondly, we came up with a format and color scheme that we were going to use throughout our white paper. Everyone wrote in different formats. So, to make it easier we decided to divide our white paper into three sections and under each section we had our proposals of the new technologies that would fit each category. We formatted the entire paper in a consistent font for the titles and body texts. The colors we choose were very simple: two different shades of blue and black. This will help the reader follow the white paper easier and we made sure they were used consistently.
Once we finished formatting the white paper, we moved onto reading it as a whole. We went through each persons writing and deleted the irrelevant information. However, in some cases we added more information if it was needed. After we finished our rough draft of the white paper we decided to brainstorm and gather some of our images and tables we were going to add to our final white paper project.
This week I hope to meet again as a group and work on our final drafts after we get our rough drafts back. I look forward to finishing the final product of our technology white paper.
