Tae Young Ha - Week 9 Workblog![]() For the week before the spring break, we divided our parts and worked on our rough draft individually. Steve chose to work on introduction and one solution, Joe and Matt worked on one solution each. I worked on the conclusion. I could not work on the conclusion without the other guys’ parts. So I worked on researching on the sample white papers and see how those samples conclude their papers. Many of the examples I saw concluded with bullets with advantages of making a change to the company. After looking at those samples, I disagreed on just pointing out advantages of making a change because I know for fact that there are also disadvantages of making changes. I also talked to Mr. Hannah and he said for us, it is good to point out both advantages and disadvantages because our goal of this paper is not to push them towards one side, but rather give them all the possible choices fairly so they can make their own decisions. One downside of putting advantages and disadvantages in conclusion part is redundancy. Since it is not a long white paper (12~13 pages), some people might consider this method redundant and boring. So I decided to make some kind of chart and summarize the points that we have made. I am going to include each point with its advantages and disadvantages. I will try to make it brief as possible so I do not end up writing a whole white paper again. Then I am going to add the concluding paragraph that I attached to our rough draft. After that, we are going to prepare for the presentation. Although we have not discussed this yet, but I think powerpoint presentation would be great for our presentation and I am willing to create powerpoint slides. Our group will further discuss this after spring break.

Tae, I like the idea about a chart at the end. I was also wondering about how to present our paper. Looks like you are on it, I agree that a powerpoint would be beneficial. Keep it up!

Final White Paper
Tae, I agree that having a chart summarizing the positives and negatives could be a good tool for all of our suggestions. Can you think of any other charts or graphs we could incorporate into the presentation? PowerPoint should work well for the presentation and we'll start discussing that in class today.
