English 420, Business Writing

We completed the rough draft of the white paper before spring break. Each of us wrote a part of the paper and everyone emailed their part to me. Thursday night, I put it all together to turn in on Friday. Our format is a basic two columns so that it is easy to read. We chose a format that includes a icon to represent Knight Corporation because we think that it looks more professional. Pictures are evenly distributed from page to page. One thing we need to work on is our font. Since each member typed one page the fonts do not match in size or style. Other than that I think we just need to work on the word flow for the final draft. We have started the paper off with an introduction that briefly describes each of the three solutions that we will be discussing. We decided not to include a table of content since the White Paper is short. The following pages discuss our solutions A, B, and C. We have not yet decided on a conclusion but will discuss it after break.

Tomorrow we will discuss out presentation. It is something that we have not yet worked on. We are currently considering a PowerPoint presentation or using windows movie maker. We believe that a power point would be best and have also considered using the websites as well. Visiting the websites during our presentation would be more interactive for the audience since they will have computers in front of them and will be able to follow along. This will definitely be beneficial for Josh’s part when he references cars.com as a way for the Knight Corporations to set up their website. Hopefully, we will get our presentation together soon in order to practice a few times.
