Week #3 - Sales Team Work Blog

Monday our group gave our technology presentation on Dream Weaver. We had met over the weekend to do a quick run through and create a handout for the class. At the end of class on Monday we decided our three solutions we will discuss in the white paper. The three solutions are as follows:
1. We will suggest that the Knight corporation should not use only sales. Online sales would be very difficult to set up. It could cause a major loss of money if not successful. Also, online customers would have to come in anyway so it would be easier for them to come in and get exactly what they need.
2. We are going to suggest that if the Knight Corporation still chooses to go with online sales they could hire professionals to create the site for them and manage the online purchases. This would include processing purchases and updating the site as well as notifying Knight of purchases and when shipments need to be sent.
3. We will also suggest that Knight could train current employees to use the technology required in order to run online sales. This might end up costing more in the long run because training can be expensive. It would also take longer to get online sales started while employees are being trained.
Each of us brain stormed on the three solutions and brought our work into class on Friday. During our individual team meeting we cleared up a few details and discussed the rhetoric for our white paper.

After Friday's meeting, we divided up the three solutions for each team member to research. Over the weekend we have each researched our part of the paper and will bring in our product tomorrow. We set ourselves a deadline for Wednesday. That is when we plan to have a rough draft of the white paper.

I will bring a few forms on Wednesday so that we can decide together which one we want to use for the project. I think we should go with what we previously discussed- the one with the two columns because that is the most popular form we found for other sales white papers.
