English 420, Business Writing

This week we are have meet with and are getting out contract finalized and signed. We are working with a local hair salon, we have no fully established the exact specifications of our service but we will have it agreed on and the contract signed by the end of this week at the absolute latest.

The week before spring break we met and worked on putting together our rough draft. I have spent a little bit of time just looking at my section of the paper and thinking about what I can do to cut out some of my information. I realize that I have included more than my share so I am selecting some things that can be cut down or even out all together.

This week i have been working on more in depth research on treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome and with that i have created an outline to begin writing my segment of our white paper on. I plan to break down several options and give the pros and cons on each. This way the management can see and understand all the options for ways to handle this problem of theirs.

This week we met as a team and established the direction that we are going to head in with our project. Personally this week i have done some research on solutions to both the given management and carpal tunnel problems that were proposed. I also spent time refreshing my memory on our assigned technology program, Photoshop. I did this so that i would be more able and helpful with our upcoming technology presentation.

For this week i have done research on carpal tunnel along with attempting to gain a basic fundamental understanding of the solutions of previous companies with this same problem. I think this is a good basis to begin this project. A connection to the health care group could be taken advantage of to address this problem. I also believe a connection could be used with the management team to address the workers complaint of the management being uninvolved and unexperienced with the workings of the manufacturing floor.

I have found a few articles on management restructuring using the mega search on the home page of the library website. This story about yahoo seemed to be the most in depth about their strategy.
