English 420, Business Writing

Last week, I created the advertisement flyer and the banner/sign to be display on the window of the hairshop. Using Illustrator and Photoshop, I created 2 design for each flyer and banner; doing this way will give our client two options to choose from.

Last week we met with the Professor to talk about the groups responsibilities for this project. It seems like our client is unsure in what she wants for this service learning project, so during the meeting we brain storm on ideals that we can do for her. We came up with four or five ideals to help advertise the hair shop. I am responsible for the flyer. That’s about it until we meet next week.

For the second week of the service learning project, we wrote the contract for Henni’s Hair shop. That pretty all I can recall from week two, since we did not have class Wednesday or Friday.

Last week, our group decided to go with two candidates Café Royal and Henni’s Hair shop. After further discussion we decided that Café Royal wasn’t the right place to work for and went with Henni’s Hair shop. Since Alex knows the people who work there, he will set up a meet to talk with the owner.

On Wednesday we worked on our service learning project memo. We chose three company that we are interested in. We will later chose one organization and contact them to see if they will be our potential client. On Sunday we met at Hecks library to finish up our group presentions for monday.

Our group presentation seems to go pretty well last Monday. I feel like we did a fine job on explaining all the different features that Photoshop has to offer. On Thursday before spring break, the group all met at the library in Hicks to finish our rough draft. We all brought our parts of the paper and then edit each other parts and combine it into one final rough draft.

During last week we researched more about our project and wrote outlines on the parts we are going to do. For this white paper project as a group we decided to split the paper into two main parts. For the management problem Alex and I will do this part, while Tom and Jon will do the carpal tunnel problem.

Hey group,

I found a statistical graph on repetitive motion injuries. The figure shows that manufacturing had the leading number of repetitive motion injury cases in industries. The graph represents how important it is to fix this problem. This could add a little graphics with all the text in our white paper. Check out the line below.
