In high school, my teacher told me various key points to follow in order to compose better literary work. One of the main focuses that we did in english class was to create a strong thesis that will inform readers of your topic. An intelligent piece of work will also contain various vocabulary words that will bring the idea across to the reader and will also create variety in the work. A small piece of what we learn was to not use the same word to start every sentence. For example, if you use the word "the" to start your paper, you can not use it as a sentence starter ever again in the paper. I know a lot of teachers do not follow this specific rule, but it allows a lot of stylish writing to be done.

In High school, the thing my teachers stressed most was having a strong thesis statement. If we failed to have a good thesis statement, then our gade was basically tanked for the paper. One other major no no was not having enough support in our papers, without support, our the thesis would not have real purpose, and therefore our paper would be a waste as well.
