ENGL 420: Business Writing

This week I helped with the peer reviews. I mainly focused on the alternative fuels white paper. I also helped with a revision of the color scheme for our white paper. We felt that there was too much green. We also discussed ideas for our presentation on the Monday after Spring Break. I suggested that we could do a skit in which on of my teammates is paying his bill for dinner with a debit card and the waiter swipes the card and steal this person's identity.

During this week our group mainly focused on editing our white paper and perfecting its design. As stated in our work contract, Nicole and Adam were in charge of editing the white paper, but we all did some of the editing in class as well. Tonight Adam is doing the last minute editing to our project and he will be e-mailing it to the rest of the group after he finishes around midnight. I volunteered to print off the white paper tonight and turn it in tomorrow since I have to go to my 8:30 class anyway.

I am so glad that we are finally done with the white paper. This has been somewhat of a stressful project due to the strict deadlines. While we originally set out goals and decided who would do what, it turned out that almost all of us did a little of everything. Sometimes this was frustrating. My favorite part of the project was creating the design. I created the design for the second peer review. Working with publisher was a challenge, but once I got the hang of it, things began to go alot smoother. I also edited a major portion of the document, adding and removing things.
