Team 11 Week 6

Our group met on Sunday evening to finish writing our memo for class on Monday. Everyone attended except Eric, but he was out of town and excused. We sat down discussing our topic, and after about 45 minutes we decided we needed to change our topic. This was stressful, because we seemed to be going nowhere. Then Lauren turned off the television and her roommates went to bed, and we started to become much more productive.

Since we have just decided to change our topic we have very little information. We do have a strong specific idea of what it is we are trying to accomplish. Several days ago we decided to split the work among each members personal strengths. Some of the information we do have is contained on the smart skies website. This site contains much of the data we will use on the project. This is particularly list issues with the air traffic control work force.

This week was a little hectic for my group, as we found ourselves going in circles on the details of our white paper. At first we wanted to focus on the delays and safety problems in the air traffic control system today. As we got more into the possible solutions for this problem, we really ran into issues. In the end we decided that our topic was too broad, and decided to completely re-focus our efforts. Our new topic is about the staffing issues among the air traffic controller workforce.
