Reading Response 10

Choosing a Client

This week’s reading had to do with the next project we will be working on in our class. The client criteria reading informed how to choose a client and the requirements for choosing one. The first step when selecting a potential client is to make sure to pick a client that will be appropriate and help to the overall success your project. Since a majority of the project depends on what the client approves and how helpful the client will be, it is important to choose the right one.

Class presentations and research

I enjoyed a week of presentations. It was nice to see all of our hard work put to use. I don't know about the other groups but I hope they took the project as seriously as my group and I did. I feel like we accomplished an awful lot for the short amount of time we had. I thought it was interesting to see how all of the presentations came together after reading them time and time again. There was one presentation that I felt had more like three steps to one solution instead of three actual solutions.

This weeks readings

The only reading this week was to read the description of the next project that is due. This next project is called the Client-based student learning project. This project seems to be fairly interesting and more interactive than the other ones. I believe this project will also be more challenging then the last two. I know there are plenty of organizations out there in the Lafayette area that will meet the requirements for this project, but I have yet to come up with any ideas. For this project our same group has decided to stick together, which I believe will be a benefit to us.

Reading Response 10

This week, I read the description for Project 3: The Client-Based Service Learning Project as well as the Cient Criteria. I think that this assignment will be extremely challenging, but a great learning experience at the same time. I am nervous about finding an appropriate organization that is interested in collaborating with us, but I know that once we do, we will be able to create a mutually beneficial project in the end. Although getting started on this assignment seems intimidating, I am very excited to see how the small business world works.

Client Based Project....

This weeks reading was about our very last project!!!

Reading...

So, this week has went by way too quickly. I think that instead of everything being due before spring break this year, they are cramming it in this week and next. The readings that we had to do for this week were basically the third project. The client-based project looks like a lot of fun. I'm sure that it will be interesting to actually have contact with a company and create a project then present it to them. I believe that the group from our white paper project is going to stick together with the last project because we work so well together.

Week 10

I am not really sure what to wire this week because there were no articles to read. The only material assigned this week was information regarding the third project. So I suppose I will just talk about that…

Project 3 Begins

The reading this week was all in preparation for our final group project, which involves creating written materials in a client-based fashion. The guidelines seem to be very demanding and yet, at this time they are still very open-ended. I am ready to get further along in the client selection process so we can further develop our ideas and plan, so we have more well-defined goals which we can work toward accomplishing.

Reading Response 10

Since we only needed to look at our Project 3 guidelines this week and the client criteria, I was happy. Given the opportunity to be the last team to present our material was good and bad. There was probably so unnecessary stress by dragging out the date.

Client Criteria

Client criteria was the first document I read about the next project we are going to do. I didn't know that the organizations had to be small or non profit. I think that is a great restraint, however, because larger companies are usually already immersed in advertisement and they are much more apt to deny any help from a group of college students. Also, I think it is a great idea to leave the client in control of where all meetings take place. This is the most professional and from past experience, I know this works well.
