Team 9 Week 6

Team #9 Work Blog: Jennifer Kingsley

This week we created a memo for our white paper project. We all worked together on creating it. Together, me and Michael came up with problems and solutions for the memo. Below are some sources members of the group found. They will help us in conducting our research for the final paper.

West, S. L., O'Neal, K. K. (2004) Project D.A.R.E. Effectiveness Revisited, American Journal of Public Health, 94 (6), 1027-1029.

This source is a study that measures the effectiveness of D.A.R.E. This is an important source for our research because it shows that D.A.R.E. needs revision and helps to determine the manner in which the program can be revised.

Cohn, J. (2001, May 24). DRUG EDUCATION: THE TRIUMPH OF BAD SCIENCE. Rolling Stone, Retrieved February 12, 2008, from Academic Search Premier database.

This source assists in documenting that it is more cost effective to revise D.A.R.E than to create a new program.
