The class has just finished the Resume project and we are now moving onto the White Paper project. I do not know what a white paper is, but it seems useful and well known in the business world. It looks like we get to be creative with this project and pick our own topic to cover. I have a few ideas, but it is difficult to pick a topic that is a problem, and a topic that society has not made a decision on.
So far I think I am doing pretty well in the class. One thing I am doing that is really helping me through the class is always being prepared. I think this will allow me to always get my work done on time. My resume project turned out really good. I liked the fact that we were able to get a feedback a couple of times. It allowed me to make my resume better each time. This next project I am a little worried about because I haven’t even heard of or new what a white paper was. The comforting thing is that I am not the only one who hasn’t heard of it before.
Well, besides the fact that I really don't understand complete all that we need to do for the white paper project I feel like I am doing well in the class. I have sent in my resume and cover letter to several employers and I am very eager to hear back from them.
So far, this class is going really well. The employment project turned out really well for me. I feel that I have finally perfected my resume and cover letter. As for the second project, I feel really good about it too. My group is working on a topic that we are all fairly passionate about. In general this class is going very smoothly and I can't wait to get more involved in the second project.
The employment project really helped me to achieve my goal of being a great applicant for law school. I have more supporting materials to all of my schools and I am so excited because resume went through a major transistion. The elements of the cover letter really helped me for the many scholarships I am really trying to get a lot of money for law school and my knowledge of cover letters to get as much money as I can! I felt my timeline to get the project done allowed me to keep up because of our peer review sessions, if we wanted feedback we had to have somehthing done!
I am really excited with what I have accomplished so far. Now I am really excited about getting my application in and hopefully getting this internship. I know that I will make $5000 and so that is a huge incentive. I was really impressed with the way my resume turned out and I felt that the cover letter was good too. I know for sure that I was in need of a new resume, because it's something that is always good to have on hand. I really liked the pase we were moving through this project, too. I didn't feel too rushed but I felt like we got done in sufficient time.
