I am not really sure what to wire this week because there were no articles to read. The only material assigned this week was information regarding the third project. So I suppose I will just talk about that…

I believe this will be the most beneficial project and learning experience that will be completd in this class. This is evident due to all the independent communication and management that is incorporated in it. This project really allows the student to become involved with a real problem or issue that a company or organization is confronting. I am really excited that we are given this opportunity. And opportunity to go out and converse, negotiate, and help out a local business could be an invaluable experience. This, I believe, will be very similar to an internship, but it has one great advantage. We are advantaged with personally picking what we think we can make better. I also like the idea of this project because it has the potential to help out a business or organization that may not notice or correct the problem/issue. It is a great project that will allow us to reach out to the community and Lafayette area.

As soon as I started reading the description, I immediately began to think to of potential organizations and businesses. One specifically is the real estate industry. I believe there are many small real estate companies that could use some assistance when it comes to web design and internet advertising. Many people searching for homes like to do it from the convenience from their home. The larger realtors have noticed this trend, and have created websites that highlight all their property. This allows prospective buyers to shop around on their website for a new home or property (just like internet shopping). However, the smaller realtors have not followed suit. With our help we could fill this important void in their business.
