Client 1 – Purdue University Refuse/Recycling Department (Department of Grounds)

The refuse/recycle department is a branch of Purdue’s department of grounds. As you already are aware of, we, my white paper group, believe that this specific department could be better. However we believe the solutions that we raised in the white paper have the potential to “turn off” our client. Moreover, the solutions we proposed do not involve a lot of document writing, and they are also too large and extensive to implement with short period of time we have to complete this project. However, as a group, we believe that we can still assist this department within Purdue in other ways that will benefit them without making any monumental changes. My plan to assist the refuse/recycling department would be to simply promote the recycling opportunities on campus. This could be accomplished with fliers, posters, or improving the department’s webpage.

Client 2 – Area Realtor

This idea involves a small business that is involved with selling and purchasing real estate in the Lafayette/West Lafayette area. Many small realtors do not have the time, energy, or money to hire a webmaster to design a website that would highlight all the properties that the company is attempting to sell. I believe this could be a great opportunity for a small realtor as well as the students. This plan could possibly incorporate the promotion of real estate using the property descriptions, statistics, and photographs. All this information could be posted online for potential customers to conveniently view. This plan would also implement an orientation and instruction on how to continue using the website to its fullest.
