One possible client that I found on the Journal & Courier website was “The Banks of the Wabash, Inc.” They are a non-profit organization that is dedicated to preserving and keeping the banks of the Wabash River clean and safe. They want to preserve the quality of the River for both residents and visitors in the central section of the Wabash corridor. They work to preserve the historical aspects as well as the natural resources of the river, and have been doing it for many years. I believe this would be a great client to have because it would be helping out our community in many different ways. I am sure they would be thrilled to have a group of students help promote their organization and mission statement. Many different documents such as a brochure, paper, or even a PowerPoint could be made to help spread the word of what their organization is trying to do. I believe this would be a great client to have, and I am sure they would be very grateful of any help we gave them.
Another possible client would be Family Services, Inc., which is a non-profit organization aimed at helping different families throughout Lafayette and the surrounding area. Our focus would be aimed around the area of the elderly and disability services, which includes cleaning, laundry, and grocery services for the elderly and disabled. This would make a good client because there is always elderly in need of help, and it would be great to work with such an organization aimed at tackling this problem. We could do many different things for the organization to help spread the word of helping the elderly and disabled. Just like the organization above, we could create pamphlets, brochures, or come up with some kind of marketing activity aimed at creating awareness of this organization which will hopefully get Purdue students interested.

Working with the Banks of the Wabash, Inc. would be really interesting and a great way to get informed about and involved with the community.
