Central Indiana Purrr-fect Cat Fancier: This is a non-profit organization that promotes feline welfare and encourages spaying and neutering. They hold monthly meetings and several social events, sponsor educational programs, and put on an annual championship cat show. They also take cats to nursing homes to visit patients. I love cats and since I have been in lafayette/west lafayette have not heard/seen any advertisement for this organization. Back home, we have what's called the neuter scooter which offers reduced prices for the spaying/neutering of cats. This is ususally always a big hit. Also, I'm sure they are probably in need of donations for the cats that they take to visit nursing home patients.

Friends of Bob: This is a non-profit organization of volunteers bringing alternatives in live music to the Greater Lafayette area that by ordinarily pass by. They can affordably book really top-class bands that are traveling between dates in bigger cities. The encourage people to become members and pay dues to provide working capital, which allows them to hire more expensive bands without putting the financial status of the organization in jeopardy. They have a website, but it is not well known. On the site, they encourage people to help and spread the word about friends of bob. They need a better campaign to let more people know that they exist and help advertise their events.
