This week, there were really no reading assignments. The only actual reading assignment was the peer review which we were assigned to fill out in class. However, I do feel that the peer review was more helpful in examining your own paper rather than other groups. In all reality, it is more likely that I filled out the peer review and the other group paid absolutely no attention to whatever I had to say. However, after reading the questions required for the peer review, I wass required to look at my own white paper.

Specifically, I was required to look at each section of the paper as a whole. Did each section of the paper fulfill its purpose as a whole? If it did not, the paper needed a good amount of work. And, in most cases, this was the situation. Most of our individual sections did not explain themselves well enough.

As well as allowing us to examine each part individually, the peer review reading assignment helped us examine our individual writing. This includes looking at the introduction, body and conclusion individually. Can each of these sections exist individually or only as a complete paper?

Finally, the peer review helped us examine out paper by its design elements. Straight off the bat, when you create a paper, you feel that if the first page looks good all of the following pages of text will look good. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Each page needs to pay specific attention to whether or not it is centered on the page, as well as the overall appearance. The paper needs to have an overall pleasure to its appearance. Not just the first page.
