We did the remaining editing to our paper tonight (3/6) and are satisfied with our final draft that we are going to turn in tomorrow. This week I was unable to attend a group meeting because of a conflict with my work schedule, but I was able to still meet up with Justin in the library last night (3/5) and we got some editing done then. I feel that as a group we have been able to work well. All our meetings have all been consistently about 2 hours and we are able to get a lot done in the meetings. We usually only meet once a week, but this week we decided to meet twice since it was due tomorrow.

Over spring break I am going to put together a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the key points. I am also going to plug in a clip from a documentary that I rented that fits right into our presentation. Once we get back from break we will meet again early on in the week, before we present on Wednesday, to discuss the presentation.

One of the lessons that I learned from this project is that I need to plan a little better. I was very busy these past 3 weeks with work and two other group projects and should have planned out farther in advance then I did. I was able to fit everything in my schedule for the first week and I thought that I would just be able to do the same for the next few weeks. However, I ran into conflicts and ended up missing two of the group meetings. Luckily, I was able to arrive right at the end of one of the meetings and then helped Justin edit for a few hours. Next time I do a group project, which I believe the next project is, I am going to plan my schedule out in advance so that I will not run in to any conflicts again.

I believe that our group’s final paper is very strong and well-written. I think that we were able to make some very good points and come up with some excellent information. Even though the editing and design of the paper was a consistent annoying problem, I think that the paper turned out to be a success.
