This week has been productive for our group. We decided on our topic, Purdue’s recycling program, which was nerve-racking fro everyone in the group. However, I am afraid that this topic will not have a lot of information. On the other hand, we did receive some good information with the help of the Purdue Department of Grounds. I believe this information is not available online, this gives me hope that much more information like this can be gathered.

I believe our group has done an excellent job communicating among each other. I think each of us understands their individual duties and the expectations of the group. Luckily the expectations of each member are similar to the other members. This allows the group to work at a pace that is comfortable with everyone.

We also have done an excellent job distributing the duties each person has to do. Personally I am responsible for one of the three solutions as well as the introduction. My solution involves the centralization of Purdue’s recycling program. I am currently completing this portion of the outline in anticipation of tonight’s meeting at the Union. I have yet to start on the introduction, but I feel this portion of the project needs to be postponed until the body of the white paper begins to form. This will allow me to mention and shortly describe each solution accurately.

Some sites that I have found interesting and may be good sources of information include Colorado University’s recycling program (http://recycling.colorado.edu/index.html). This school is known for having one of the best programs among universities in America. Another school that has amazing success with their program is Miami University (http://www.pfd.muohio.edu/recycling/atmiami/index.jsp)
