My group and I have been diligently working on our white paper project. The extensive research each member did to complete the memo has proven to be beneficial in the long run because we are ahead of the game. We have split the project up evenly and each member is to report their research and findings to Google docs so each member can see their progress. As mentioned above, our research for the memo has allowed us to work ahead and already start working on the rough draft of the white paper itself. Tonight (Tuesday February 19, 2008) our group is meeting to create the outline that is due Friday, but each member is also presenting their portion of the white paper for the rough draft. Our group has basically set up a system in which we meet every Tuesday at 7:00pm in the basement of the Union as well as e-mailing several times a day to keep in touch. It is very comforting that my group is working as hard as we are and we all have similar work ethics. My portion of the white paper is the additional funding such as the Meacham Foundation Memorial Grant and the Second Chance Fund. I have researched brochures and websites to find more detailed information for my part of the project. Prior to the meeting tonight each Tara, Elisa and myself were responsible for typing 500 words of our section and Tim is responsible for the intro/conclusion and layout design for the final paper. During our meeting we all presented our sections and gave constructive criticism so we could make appropriate changes. This group is the most cohesive group I have ever been a part of and I wouldn't change any of our methods for completing the project. We all have similar work habits and great communication skills. We often joke about how many e-mails we send each other during the day because our mailboxes are always overflowing. Communication is key and our team is definitely on top of things.
