The three main sources I’ve found for researching the topic for our paper are people to interview. I have established contact with each of them, but we are in the process of finding a good time for telephone interviews with each of them. Because of this, I can’t summarize the information they haven’t given me, and rather I will tell you the type information I expect to gather from them.

Susie Grey, the Commercial Account Manager for ADESA Corporate
Because Mrs. Grey works for Adesa’s Corporate office, she is aware of the business on a large scale. This is important when looking into major technology changes, because these decisions will be made on a corporate level, and effect the entire corporation. Mrs. Grey will provide information that encompasses the opinions of many different auction locations; and she will also offer an important point of view from the side of the people who work for the auction company, but don’t spend each day at the auction working directly with the computer systems. She is however, very involved with Adesa’s customers and would have a good perspective of how the company can re-structure things to be most efficient and pleasing for them.

Russ Stegal, the liason for Manheim Corporate to Ford Motor Co.
Mr. Stegal works for the competition at the corporate level. He is involved in working directly with the customers to make sure his business is running smoothly, so his customers work can be efficient and profitable. He is knowledgeable about the computer systems Manheim uses, and would be a good source of information for one of possible solutions – purchasing an already-made, all-inclusive program, such as the one in use by Manheim.

Kelly Byrum, the Ford Motor Co. Area Representative at ADESA Indianapolis
As a customer of Adesa’s and a former employee of Adesa, Mrs. Byrum has a unique perspective Because she used to work for Adesa as an Account Manager, she has a special knowledge on how the current systems work, and what about them make her work inefficient.
