This is an issue on all levels. I want to know how men are treated in the workplace compared to how women are treated in the workplace. If there is any difference now, because I know that a lot of things have been changing, but there are still discrimination laws going on. I think that it will be an interesting topic because I am an OLS major and being a woman, I want to know what exactly I am getting into when I apply to a company to get a job. This subject can be discussed on all levels, but my targeted audience would be looking through managements eyes in a large company. I think that a female manager would be more specific but on the management level, how are all employees being treated? Equally or not? Is there a glass ceiling that we need to be aware of?
Some solutions to this problem is that companies could provide specific training for managers on how to prevent gender discrimination.
Also when they allow for promotions and specific job openings that a certain number of them should be reserved for women.
The companies could also have a no tolerance policy where if an employee is caught discriminating against another because of their gender or a male doesn't get the promotion because the boss is female, then they are let go from the company.

This idea is very interesting because we can look at the dynamic of "glass ceiling" which is the barrier of genders in the work place very good topic!

I would like to join this group if the option is still available. I guess that makes three of us. The only thing is that you need to establish some solutions to the problem, if one exists, so that the topic proposal is "complete."

So, are the three of us going to be doing this topic?
