Lots of rescue places and humane societies are overcrowded with unwanted animals. Many people do not know the costs and responsibility that goes with owning a pet. If more people knew in the beginning what went into having a pet there would be less unwanted pets. Owners need to be aware of the consequences of dumping pets at humane societies and rescue centers. Getting information out to future pet owners would help with the overpopulation of pets.

I think this is a good topic and I would like to join this group. Three possible solutions are mandatory spay/neuter, informing people about the costs of a pet, and stricter regulations on breeding
pets.

That sounds good. Hopefully we can find a third person.

I'd like to join this group. I volunteer at the humane society on weekends sometimes and have seen this first hand. Third member!

Hey guys, I think this sounds like an interesting topic and is clearly a huge issue! If you don't mind having a four person group i'd love to join!
