In my cover letter I hope to emphasize many of my soft skills and some specific examples of how I have used my accounting skills and soft skills in the workplace. This way on my resume I can emphasize the exact factual information on my past work experience, but in the cover letter I can make it more personal and more tailored to why these skills have developed me into the exact person they are looking for. Some of the specific examples I will hope to bring up are my Eagle Scout project and the leadership skills it took to carry out that project. I would also like to bring up how I have taken on a 21 credit hour load, participated in two honorary fraternities, one residence hall executive board, held a part time job, and participated in a number of bands. I feel that this will show that I can multi-task efficiently, and still pull off good grades. Lastly I would like to emphasize that I worked with executive directors and high level managers while working for General Motors. In this way my abilities to deal with important people within a corporation have been honed.
