I understand the reasons for doing this project, and I think it's a great experience that could really help us in the future, but I'm making it harder for myself than it needs to be. The project could be a lot easier for me if I just picked any old job to apply for, but the extra stipulation I added in myself is that I want this to tie directly in to an internship I can get this summer. I already have contacts with two people who working at Northwest Airlines, and we have discussed summer internship opportunities at the Detroit airport. The problem is that I'm trying to kill two birds with one stone...and I don't yet have the exact job description of the internship I'm trying to apply for. So, if we were doing this project later in the semester, I would have the information and would really benefit from using this project to get me the summer job. Instead, I'm trying to find another job that is similar that I will use for this project. So unfortunately for me, it won't be as easy as I had hoped. Besides that though, the project seems fairly easy and practical, with no extreme requirements. I have to admit I haven't yet worked on it as much as I probably should have. I plan to do it tonight, as I've been busy with homework for other classes. I haven't had any set-backs yet, besides the fact that I have been trying to make it work toward my summer internship. I am starting to accept the fact that I won't be able to apply for that exact job with this project, but I know that this project will come in handy when it comes time to apply for that internship.
