This week’s readings were on the service learning oral presentations. These PowerPoint’s were really helpful to my group and I when we were preparing for our presentation. It gave us an idea of what we should include in our presentation, how we should go about presenting it and what we should answer in our presentation. The PowerPoint’s focused on audience analysis, talk structure, and delivery of the presentation. Keeping in mind who you are presenting to is really important and also ties into how you present the information to your client. Having something to look off of while working on how our presentation should go was really helpful. It helped us make sure we get all the questions answered and provide as much information as we can to make our presentation effective. My group and I presented our document in class on Monday. I think we all did a great job and we are looking forward to handing over the brochure to our client. I am also really looking forward to seeing what my group and I have created around campus. It’s a good feeling to think I helped in something that could change how people think about recycling. The last thing we have to do this week is due on Wednesday. Each group member is required to write an outline about the overall details of the project and then evaluate the success of the group through the Project Assessment document and the Collaboration Evaluation. These two assessments are to help break down the group’s work and success on the service learning project. It goes into detail of asking how we managed the project along with the process, design, content and collaboration. After completing these two documents I will be done with the course! Overall, I have really enjoyed this class.

I did not really think about the powerpoint and the grading criteria as readings for this week but you are completely right. I think those were helpful as well in changing your presentation to make it fit the audience and to truly explain your document. Have a great summer!
