This weeks reading was about what should and should not be included in fliers and brochures. It was stated that one of the most important parts of the project is the opening page. Four out of every five people were said to never get past the cover of a document, we should all take this very seriously while creating our final documents. A business may waste valuable money on the inside of a flier or brochure when the money could be better spent to lift the cover page of the item. Another important idea is that it is better to use real life pictures when possible. These pictures may help the audience more closely relate to your document and my persuade them to continue reading the document. A picture on its own should be able to give some idea of what the topic or information is about. Photos were said to increase response by as much as 26%. When the response has to do with something like sponsorship money such as our project this 26% could make a huge difference in the organizations budget.

I professional look to the final draft of our projects is also very important. In some cases such as my groups, there is not quite the professional atmosphere as other groups may have, but the document is still going to be used outside of our meetings with the client and we must take into account how the recipients of these document would view them.
