I have never felt good about giving a presentation. I usually get a beautiful red rash on my chest and neck that is hard to miss. So, I can't say that I look forward to giving our class presentation. However, I care about our chosen task and the materials we are creating. I look forward to meeting with our client and presenting her with useful brochures that will assist her in the D.A.R.E. program.

This weeks readings were helpful in identifying the differences between formaland informal presentations. While they both have a persuasive element, they are both quite different in the deliverance. Informal presentations provide group interaction and to me, I think this is very opportunistic. Being able to involve members of a group is ideal, it assists in gauging their interest, their understanding of the material and can assist in getting them fired up to what your presenting.

I found it very interesting that recall fades so quickly. I also found it interesting that by providing a visual aid with an oral presentation was the best way to enhance recall. This I knew but I did not realize the percentage differences overall.
