This week our group started working on the deliverables for our client. We have decided to make a brochure and mass mailer for GLRSA, so they can get more publicity in the community. They have a lot of areas they need help in…they said they can always use more players, coaches, referees, volunteers, and sponsors. We are focusing on all of these things in the brochure. The mass mailer is being written in a way that it will be sent to potential sponsors so they can have more information about GLRSA and make a decision about whether or not to sponsor. The mailer will also have a sponsor form attached, which GLRSA sent us and said they plan to keep the same as previous years. We had a group meeting on Tuesday night at the library in Stewart at 9pm. We split up, Cedric and I worked on the mailer and Filip and Eric worked on the brochure. Cedric and I were able to finish up the mailer by about 9:50, then helped Eric and Filip work on the brochure. Both documents weren’t totally finished by the end of the meeting, but we decided to work on them both more in class on Wednesday. In class Wednesday we also called Doug Cupp, the person we have mainly been going through for all of our communications with GLRSA, to ask some specific questions for the brochure and mailer. We also typed up the peer review sheet on Wednesday, so now we’re all ready for Friday’s peer review day. I feel that our group has been working very effectively so far and we are on track. We know we will need to put in a good deal of work this weekend to get the final drafts of both documents done, and also work on our presentation. We already have an idea for the presentation, which is that we want to show our brochure on the screen while we talk about what we’ve done for GLRSA. It shouldn’t be too hard, but we know we have to rehearse it more than before since we won’t have a PowerPoint to guide us this time. Also later this weekend we need to plan a time to meet with the client next week to present the two documents to them.
