Our group has finally got the ball rolling. We are working for vision of hope and have had all of our criteria laid out for us so far and we are now in the process of putting everything together. This week we delegated the responsibilities to all of the group members. Michael and Josh are working on the words that go into the brochure while Kimberly and Derek are working on the design of the brochure and how all of the elements are put together. We have only had a few minor problems so far. Our customer that we are working for was a little late on sending us the information that we need to get started so that has set us back a couple of days. She also said that the brochure she was going to give us was going to be in InDesign but now she said she cannot get that to us. So we are now making our brochure in Publisher and going from there. Today, Josh and Michael met and put together the words that are going to go into the brochure. Kimberly and Derek plan to meet soon to start putting the design elements together as well. Overall we are on track but we just need to keep working very hard.
Our group intended to meet with Jocelyn this Friday but she was busy this whole week. Instead we decided to drop the proposal off to her so that she could look at it in her own time and approve of it them. We dropped it off in her office on Wednesday and have yet to hear back from her via email. We have discussed all of the criteria before hand and she actually laid out the guidelines for us and that is what we put into the proposal. In this matter we believe that the contract is accepted and that we are able to finish with this project. In the proposal we stated that we would produce a brochure for vision of hope that was geared toward the volunteers. We are supposed to use the standardized purple color and also the logo as well. We are going to have the rough draft into her by next Friday 18th so that she can look over it and make any changes necessary. We will then present to her the final brochure to her on Friday the 25th. Overall we are excited about our project and ready to produce a document that could be used in the near future.
