This week ended up to be a good one, much was accomplished. To start off with we where unsure if we would be able to get our proposal in on time because of our schedules not lining up with the blood centers. We were however able to meet with them briefly and turn in our proposal. This week we where able to meet with the a second time as well. In our two meetings we sat down and discussed a few different things. The first thing we talked about was if the blood center had any form of marketing. They said that the did have events that they promoted, but could us some help. We also discussed what different events they had going on. They said that they had a blood drive coming for Grand Prix week. As a group we decided this would be our best bet, to promote this blood drive. We proposed to do this, and they were very willing to go along with it. We wrote up a proposal and they accepted it without any complaints. Our plan was to have a few different ways to promote the event. These things included having a sheet sign with the time and place of the event hanging somewhere on campus. Along with that we have started a facebook group promoting the event. We also are working on making a flyer to post around campus. The last idea we had was to make a BTV ad. They found that all of these ideas would work with what they where trying to do. So now we all have our assigned tasks and we will hold a group meeting on Sunday to collaborate on these. Our only pressure is the time crunch we are under, seeing that the blood drive is April 18, so hopefully we will be able to get all of the promotions out in time for them to take effect.
