Our work with Cafe Royal is progressing along at a fine rate. This past week has been productive with the production of a proposal and a meeting with the client. The proposal was created and submitted for review on Monday. After review the proposal was given back and turned out to be missing some key information, such as contact information and a few design details. The revisions were made, and the proposal was approved on Wednesday. Later that day was the meeting with the client to present the proposal and work out a few more details. A few changes were made to the details of the week, and the meeting was quickly concluded. Friday will be spent as a day to come up with slogans and design ideas about the poster that we will be creating for Café Royal. So far the way that the group has been interacting has been explicitly through the use of e-mail. We have decided that for the most part, choosing meeting times, all getting together, and then quickly assigning a job or two was not the best use of time. By assigning jobs through e-mail or at class, we can do most of the work on our own time and then send out the finished product to everyone for revisions and feedback. Up until now this has been very productive. When we begin work on the poster image and design, we will probably need to all meet together and decide on a design, color scheme, font, and layout for the finished product. I am looking forward to working with Photoshop to create a hopefully visually appealing poster to draw attention to our clients week of specials during finals.
