This week our group, 10, met with Ms. Stirratt and delivered our proposal to her. After looking over our proposal, and us giving her a brief walk through it in addition to her reading it, she accepted. She thinks that our idea will really work and that it is very beneficial, not only to her, but the entire Boiler Blast team. We discussed what would be done during our time working with her and she agreed with our proposal of four specifically written letters to the major businesses in the Lafayette and West Lafayette area. Ms. Stirratt seemed very enthusiastic about what we have to offer her and what was written in the proposal, mainly because it is stress lifted off of her shoulders and other Boiler Blast members. As far as revisions are concerned, Ms. Stirratt did not have any. She really seemed please with it and very excited for us to get going with the project.

Amanda Stirratt and group 10 came to the agreement that we will produce four specific fund raising letters written to four different businesses respectively. The four businesses are PEFCU, Lowes, Sam’s Club, and Subaru. We have chosen to research the companies’ mission statements and parallel them to Boiler Blast’s mission statement, as well as, include the pros of community involvement and interaction and include the necessary information for any fund raising letter. Next week on the 14th, we will be delivering our rough drafts of each letter to Amanda, as well as, getting final suggestions on our template. On the 18th, we will be presenting our rough drafts in class. The week after that on the 23rd, we will be presenting our final project to Amanda, and the goal is to have the fund raising letters complete, and the only necessary additions will be the signatures. We will then be giving Amanda electronic copies of all four letters, as well as a guideline to how each letter was put together, including how and where information was found.

As far as questions and concerns thus far into the project, I think as of right now we all have a good idea of what is being done and what needs to be done for further meetings with our client and do not have any questions for you thus far.
