As with the white paper project, our group is always one step ahead of whatever we are supposed to be doing for the week. After meeting with Brenda, from Almost Home Humane Society, our group has received the current documents that they would like reformatted and also information that we are going to use to create our own new document for them to use. Today, our proposal was due so we have that under our belts, so this week we are focusing on the design, layout and creation of the existing and new documents. Our team is working to type up all of the existing documents so that we can create new layouts and designs for them and also pull together information of our own to create a new document. One of our main focuses for this week is going through all of the information we have collected and narrowing it down to the information we want to use for the new document we are creating. Almost Home Humane has approved our ideas and after showing several new designs and layouts, they have chosen which they would like for their new documents. Tim is our artistic member, who is very motivated when it comes to creating new layouts for the existing and new documents. Although class isn't mandatory on Friday, our group has decided it would be in the best interest of our project to still meet. We are going to take this time to pull together the information we have and place it into the new documents. To make sure that we are all on the same track we e-mail each other daily expressing any thoughts or feelings that we may have, which is our way of staying ahead of the game.
On Thursday, April 10, 2008 we met with Brenda Andres, Outreach Operations Director at the Almost Home Humane Society. We have previously met with Brenda two other times prior to this meeting, in which we had discussed and agreed upon a general idea and plan for our project proposal. Having discussed most of our plans and information ahead of time, this meeting focused on reviewing the proposal and verifying that all the information was accurate to what we had previously discussed. Brenda accepted our proposal and commented that it clearly stated exactly what we wanted to accomplish which we are all looking forward to. There were no revisions to be made to the proposal, so we are jumping right in and beginning the production of our documents. We plan to complete our documents for Almost Home Humane Society by March 21, 2008 and we are in the progress of setting up another meeting with Brenda to show her our completed documents and then make revisions accordingly.
