This week's reading was about proposals. We will all be writing a proposal to a potential client for the Service Learning project. In the reading assignment in PWOnline, we learned about the types and contexts of proposals, the content that should be included, and how to organize the information. In the context section, I really liked the table. This table breaks down the proposal into each section that could possibly be used. Information and examples of what to include in each section are provided. This will be helpful to my group and I for writing our proposal. The sample student proposal that was provided will also be beneficial. Examples are the best way for me to learn.
The PowerPoint was also great. It stressed that the proposal has to be persuasive. We have to prove to our client that there really is a problem that needs to be solved, and more so that we are the people who can do it. The main goal of the proposal is to convince the audience of the value, significance, and worth of the project. We also have to make sure to address our audience appropriately, especially since our audience will be skeptical. The last important thing will be to keep a professional ethos.

I really liked the table as well. It was kind of confusing though it made me wonder if the table was how we were supposed to write it, such as in table format, but i later realized that it was not. It is very helpful though I would agree.
