After finishing our White Paper on the Almost Home Humane Society, we decided to stay in our current group and work together to follow through with some of the White Paper solutions to the problems that Almost Home is facing. After finishing up our memo and the approval for our first choice (Almost Home) and an initial meeting with the Almost Home Director, we discovered our options. Almost Home is very willing to work with us and they have a variety of projects. We could help with advertising an event they are holding at the mall on April 5th or take some of their existing handouts for interested pet owners and update/jazz them up because they currently are bogged down with text and have almost no color. The advertisement would put us in a major time crunch, so I think we’re leaning more toward an update of the existing handouts, adding color and making the handout flow more easily by taking out the important points. We’ve figured that a text heavy document probably will not be catching anyone’s eye as much as a puppy would. Our next step is to get our proposal ready now that we have narrowed down a project.
