This week’s reading had to do with the next project we will be working on in our class. The client criteria reading informed how to choose a client and the requirements for choosing one. The first step when selecting a potential client is to make sure to pick a client that will be appropriate and help to the overall success your project. Since a majority of the project depends on what the client approves and how helpful the client will be, it is important to choose the right one. Some of the requirements of potential clients are that they should be a non-profit organization or a small business. Also, they should also be interested in the services we will be offering them and it should be beneficial to them. Another important consideration is accessibility to the group. Our client needs to be willing to be interviewed by the group and be located somewhere close by like Lafayette or West Lafayette. It is also important the organization should not already have an advertising department. One last piece of information I learned was that the potential client should not be a relative or a close friend. By following all of the guidelines above and choosing an appropriate client, this project should go smoothly without any major disruptions. I am looking forward to choosing a client and meeting with them to start on our group project.
