Reading response week 14

This weeks readings were about do's and don'ts for our materials, ie. flyers, brochures, etc. In order to get the readers attention and do well at marketing their are alot of strategies to help us get there. I did not realize so many rules were in place and mainly because of the way the brain works and the way we read things, and the most important thing is that we have the chance to continue to implement strategies to ensure our companies event becomes a successful reality.

Week 13 Reading

This weeks reading that really sparked my interest was plagarism. The idea that it is such a problem def means there are a lot of misunderstandings on what we really think is going on with this problem. First, I really liked and agree with the point that plagarism exist in our society because of the availability of the internet. When our grandparents wrote papers that had to go the library and look it up in books, and you couldn't copy and paste anything.

Ethics

As I previously stated in a comment I posted on another classmate's blog in regards to the Ethics article. I believe that writing can't be "learned," but ultimately influence and precedent sets the tone for how we are to write, in fact in a professional writing. Today's politics and media bias in which one canidate or party attacks the other and return impacts super delegates and the popular vote, many times done in a subliminal manner.

Project 3

This project is very realistic for real life. Although, the white paper was as well because that project really opened my eyes to how organizations think and have to work in teams. This project is even more hands on, of real life situations. My team and I had the wrong idea at first, but we have given it a lot more attention and we now know what to expect. I am so excited to begin and gain some real life experiences.

Proposals

This weeks reading was mainly about proposals. Since proposals are competitive they must be accurate and they must be convincing. Generally, there are two parts to proposals, the first being solicited. Solicited is one an organization request and the other is unsolicited, these are those that you choose you want to propose to sponsor. The main purpose is to gain money, permission, time, or support for a specific project. Not just a recommendation for change, but an offer to do something in exchange for something else. All of these elements are very good to know for our next project.

Blog 10

First, I realized many of the weekly blogs I have been posting under white paper stuff..and not here. But I am really excited about the new project. My group decided to stay together. The biggest advantage that is we know each other's working styles and schedules because it is really hard to get everybody together during the week due to schedules, but I am really excited about the wonderful client based project, due to the non profit org. I have been apart of, I now realize the wonderful things that can occur because of the broad arena of such clients.

Client Based Project....

This weeks reading was about our very last project!!!

NO readings ...but evaluations

There was no specific reading but there was wonderful evaluations that we had to do. The biggest part I enjoy about evaluations is the fact that all the groups get to take tips from others on what mistakes not to make or not to make again. Also, it allows you to think of more elements of the white paper that may our group was missing and other groups had and the biggest reason this is important is while we are critiquing and giving feedback for others to make their white paper better and we are constantly making our own better through the feedback of others.

White Paper finished!!!

Team #7: Work Blog 3: Teresha Twyman

This weeks progress is looking a lot better than last weeks. As you would expect you would be better than the week before. I was honestly very concerned about our ability to get all the information we need, but we did. Our design is coming together quite well. I really like how our title page is set up, it is not too much, but gets to the point. I am very disappointed in the fact it would not print this morning so we could not get any feedback on our progress from other groups, but that happens and you can't control it, I am just glad it was for the rough draft and not the final.
