It's all been done.... before...

Well, really not much reading this week except for that of the stuff the different groups were passing out to each other. I guess all I really have to say is thanks to a wonderful final semester. Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their lives. And last but not least

Peace! I'm OUT!

Reading 14

?Como se dice "Reitteration" en espanol? For me that's all this weeks readings were. In OLS we have countless courses where presentations are involved. Powerpoints and oral presentations have become second nature to me.
I'm tired of writing
Peace out

Group 7; Week 14: We're done?

Status update: We have completed our project in the sense of deliverables to our client and they loved them. Our classroom portions are still underworks, but none the less almost done as well.
Contributions: We have all been pulling our weight in our own ways. This has been one of the most effective team experiences we could ask for. Work load was spread by creativity and ability differences. We have all completed at least one deliverable for our client and we're feeling good.

In class

So, I'd like to comment on our little in class reading assignment. It reminded me a lot about a book I've read called "Managing Transitions." It's premis was that when you're trying to manage a change in an organization you have to go through the majority of those 10 simple rules we talked about. MT's process consist of these lines, Start with an ending which means finish what it is you are trying to change. Next is the middle ground where some people get lost and some strive. Then finally is the new begenning where the old is completely gone and there is a new way of doing things.

What to read...

It seems this week there wasn't too much to read. I was reading over the next project's description and I'm a bit concerned. It seems like a great project, but at the same time it comes across as something that we should have started first thing this semester to give us a reasonable ammount of time to complete (especially if the groups were interested in helping to hold some sort of event). I'm guessing we'll hear more about it today and my curiosity has grown as to what the project will actually entail and if we'll get any suggestions on organizations throughout the community.

Hmmm... who to chose

Well, I've been trying to think of some good organizations to do this for and I've come up with two:

The American Red Cross (Lafayette Center):
Here I think the organization is in need of not only more instructors, but more interest in taking courses such as lifeguarding. I think our project could create some fliers for recruitment of both such needs.

The Lafayette Crisis Center:

The others...

Well, didn't do much reading this week due to lack of motivation. Peer reviews was about all I accomplished. Looking at the white papers of other groups, I noticed things that I liked and things that I really didn't like. I kind of felt that suggestions from last Friday weren't even taken into consideration by the time I was rereading them on Wed. Well, since I didn't do much reading, I'm just not going to report much this week.

Peace out,

Project Log Week 9: The Final Countdown

Well, it took a lot of work from all of us, but the project has come together. I felt bad for missing a group meeting on Sunday night, as well as class the next morning, but illness had kept me from doing anything but preying to the porcelain god the majority of the time. I have to give props to the group for getting the stuff all worked out for peer reviews. Seems like they all worked together well and by Wed. I was finally able to help out.

Peace,

Not so much reading, but it is a response...

So, I'm not really going to respond to our weekly readings, instead I thought I should talk about Mr. ITaP from class on Wed. I'm not trying to be mean or an asshole by anymeans, but WOW!

Project Log Week 8: IT'S COMING (I HOPE)

Well, I'm not sure what to say. I didn't think I was going to make it to our Wed. night meeting with all my stuff done, but I was ready!
