White Paper Project: draft 2 assignment details

I've presented this information in a couple of other places in the course website, but for convenience's sake I'll do so here, as well.

As mentioned previously, you will include graphics and document design elements in Draft 2 of your white papers, due on Monday, March 24. Revisit assigned readings in Chapters 10 and 11, for details on how to effectively implement a variety of visuals into your white paper; these chapters also provide good advice for using basic document design elements. I'm not going to assign a minimum number of visuals, or minimum number of kinds of visuals -- since different kinds of arguments call for different kinds of visuals, and different numbers of visuals. But I will strongly recommend at least one visual for every 3-4 pages, and that you include at least two kinds of visuals. Screenshots, charts, and graphs are most commonly used...but feel free to include other kinds of visuals, such as flow charts and diagrams. The most important consideration is that whatever you use is effectively placed, and that it effectively communicates what it needs to communicate and how it needs to be communicated. Just as you would for text-based information....

Again, the deadline for Draft 2 is Monday, March 24. Please post your revised white papers as PDF files attached to your deliverables blog.
