While it would be pretty difficult to make any vehicle that only get 8-10 mpg in today's market it is not impossible.  There are a few good ways to market this vehicle.  The real trick is figuring out who you will be selling this vehicle to, what they will be using it for, and how often they will use it.  The best way I can think of to market this vehicle is to market it as the ultimate travel vehicle.  I know it seems very unreasonable to travel in a vehicle that won't get more than 10 mpg's but if you explain some things to them it becomes much more reasonable.  First off ex

The main emphasis I would use when potentially selling a RV
would be the benefits of such a vehicle. I would mention the fact that gas has
increased but I would constantly mention that the benefits of owning a RV will
outweigh the inconvenience of higher gas prices. I would really push this issue
to families who travel a lot by car. There are vehicles that are geared more
towards families such as mini-vans but they do not provided the freedom to move
