As we, have a group, were discussing our white paper project, we were trying to figure out what visuals we wanted to incorporate into the document. One that we all agreed on as a definite was the use of screenshots. When in comes to describing how a program looks or what a user will be presented with, screenshots are the best way to go. While it would be possible for us to describe through words, the description would be long and too confusing. Readers would become very disinterested and would probably stop reading and then lose interest in the product. Plus, when people are deciding if they want to use the product, the screenshots help to make people feel more comfortable with the product before they use it (or while they are initially using it).
