This week in class we were placed into groups for the White Paper Project. Then after getting together and deciding on a topic for the White Paper we completed a group - authored story post for the subject we plan to write about. As a group we decided to discuss Peer-to-Peer File Sharing. Also, during this week we discussed more sample white papers and how effectively or ineffectively they were written.

This week was an introduction to the White Paper Project. In class we read the project description and each deliverable expected. We also went over sample White Papers. We also discussed the Open Source and the Open Source Initiative.

 

The last week of the class consisted of working and revising the technical marketing document. Time was also spent doing class evaluations.

This week in class we went over example templates in Microsoft Publisher. This proved to be very useful to our group because we used Microsoft Publisher to create our technical marketing document. We also spent a class period specifically working on developing the technical marketing document.

This week in class we went over various examples of technical marketing documents. The example of the fiber glass document gave the group a good idea on how to design our own document. We used much of the same style and technique as the fiber glass document.

This week we also completed a group-authored story post, in which we discussed plans regarding document design for the technical marketing document. In the story post we included specifics such as format, size, and software program used.

This week the team conducted research relating to the technical marketing document. The research consisted of looking up reviews on the new 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. This research gave a feel to the target audience we were trying to aim for.
