C. Thesis: In the first three short stories, Werewolves in Their Youth, House Hunting, and Son of the Wolfman, there are several different controversial issues being discussed which include divorce, failing marriages, and rape.

A. Summarize short story: Werewolves in Their Youth
1. Give a brief overview of the story
2. Talk about how Paul Kovel had a hard time with his parents divorce
3. Provide quotes from the text referring to the hardships he had during this time
4. Relate to the outside audience with proof of how common divorce is today and explain why it is easy for audience to relate
B. Summarize short story: House Hunting
1. Give brief overview of the story
2. Talk about the relationship between Christy and Daniel and how it changes over the story
3. Provide quotes proving the marriage problems the couple is having; also provide quotes of the failed marriage of Mr. Hogue
4. Relate to audience without repeating previously used statistics; explain why audience can relate to marriage issues or why audience is so interesting in reading about them
C. Summarize short story: Son of Wolfman
1. Give brief overview of the story
2. Talk about how the relationship between Cara and Richard changed because of the rape and how keeping the child affected the relationship
3. Provide quotes showing their relationship failing, but also provide quotes that show the hardships Cara had to go through after being raped
4. Relate to audience giving statistics on rape but also explaining why audience is always so interested in reading these types of stories with unusual but happy endings
