The Thirteenth Blog
Posted April 7th, 2008 by camorrisOnce upon a time there was a woman who decided to go back to college. She pondered as to what at this late point in her life, she could possibly get out of it and use in her remaining years of life. After deciding that Spanish, as a second language was definitely beneficial she started and completed the class with an A, 4.0. Now she had to decide what else besides continuing the Spanish, she should do.
Robert Crumb Artist or Pervert Blog 12
Posted April 7th, 2008 by camorris Terry Zwigoff looks at Robert Crumb from a friend’s perspective. In this documentary there does not seem to be much to like about the man. He might possibly be a product of his past, but he certainly has not done anything to help himself, at least from this viewer’s perspective.
He seems a little confused or bewildered that people want to know what his art represents. He himself doesn’t really analyze or think about the art, he just does it. He never seems to be without his sketch book and it dominates his life in this film.
Brother's Keeper : Family First: Blog 11
Posted April 3rd, 2008 by camorrisWilliam Ward, one of four bachelor brothers living in a small rural town dies in his sleep. Suspicion is cast on one of the brothers, Delbert, for killing his brother in an act of mercy, since he was suffering and in a lot of pain. These were four completely simple, uneducated rural farmers living in conditions untenable for the normal person. Sharing small beds, with no plumbing or heating in two small rooms they have very little communication with the outside world until two film makers, Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky decide to tell their story.

Born into Brothels, Blog 9
Posted March 27th, 2008 by camorrisDocumentary opens showing dark alleys, unkempt people shouting and swearing, rats eating out of dirty dishes. Then it switches to photographs of beautiful young girls standing in doorways or lined up along the street. It shows beautiful black and white photographs of children. This is the red light district in Calcutta India. What a mindset this gives the viewer as to what is going to happen to these children.

Grizzly Tale from Boyhood to Death, Blog 7
Posted March 23rd, 2008 by camorrisWhere o’ where to start talking about the documentary, Grizzly Man. I think first you have to decide what it takes for a man to reach a point where he wants to risk his life in such a fool hardy way. Maybe you can look at the boy before he becomes the man and see if one can predict why he chooses to do what he did?

Posted February 23rd, 2008 by camorrisWe had terrorists right here in the United States of America in 1963 and I believe we still do today. Just one example is the Ku Klux Klan, hiding behind their righteous ignorance and getting away with terrorist acts right here in our country, back in 1963, and probably even still happening today. The most heinous terrorist act, I just watched in some actual footage from that year.
United We Stand, Blog 4
Posted February 23rd, 2008 by camorrisI watched the video by Spike Lee entitled “Four Little Girls”. The video is about an unforgivable tragedy that affected all Americans. I have written about the film in another blog which is posted right after this one. I also just finished this biography about Barack Obama and I wanted to put these blogs together. I hope you will eventually see the connection between the book about the man, Barack Obama, and the film about what happened to the little girls. This man may help make a difference so an incident like this would never happen again.
