This is a “correction” video that is supposed to set the story straight about the untruths in Fahrenheit 9/11, a documentary by Michael Moore. The movie is eighty minutes and is supposed to reveal the twenty six misconceptions in Michael Moore’s two hour documentary. Is this telling the truth, was Fahrenheit 9/11 the truth, or are either of them the total truth? Everyone has their own opinion and the freedom of speech, but be careful of what truth version of the truth that you put the most stock into.
The first argument this movie talks about is President George W. Bush not responding properly when he was told about the World Trade Center’s being attracted. He was told that the first one was hit before he went to the classroom and he proceeded to go to the class with the kindergarteners. Just before he started reading with the children one of his advisors whispered in his ear, “The second tower just got hit, we are under attack.” President Bush then appeared to be lost in his thought for a moment then decided to keep reading with the kindergarteners. His supporters and advisers say he did the right thing by sitting there calm and collecting his thoughts before he acted in rash manor and caused widespread panic. He said he was trying to avoid widespread panic, as if it could have been avoided when nearly four thousand Americans are dying on United States soil.
The movie FahrenHYPE 9/11 did not have anything to back up their points of view. In the movie Fahrenheit 9/11, made by Michael Moore, backs up everything they put in their movie. They do this either by citing newspapers like the Washington Post or the Houston Chronicle. They also cite their claims by using the report submitted to the public by the 9/11 commission. This report was put out by congress, but twenty eight pagers of the report were censored by president bush and his white house. When asked if he would testify about the pages he censored or the reason he did it, he said no but he would gladly visit with congress about it, behind closed doors of course.
There were two people who said that Michael Moore twisted their words around in their interviews and that they were blindsided when they were asked if their interviews could be put into the documentary. I do not see how someone’s words could be twisted around when it was a video interview and everything he said was unscripted and his own words. He said that he was blindsided and no choice but to let him put the interview in the movie because he was asked so shortly before the movie was to be released. They were both grown men and could have said no if that is what they really wanted. Instead they both were angry because what they said went against their Republican party and they did not like what came out of their own mouth.
