 1. For Monday, 2/11, finish up the Friedman for class discussion. You should read chapters 3,4, "Quiet Crisis" (ch 7 or and "Unflat World" 

2. For Wednesday, 2/13, find an example of a report and bring it to class. Anything that calls itself a "report" is fine. Here are some suggestions:

• one of your better lab reports
• an annual report from a company
• a report written by Purdue
• the water quality report that turns up in your water bill
