Tornado Definition

From a scientific standpoint, a tornado is a 'localized and violently destructive windstorm occurring over land characterized by a funnel-shaped cloud extending toward the ground' (princeton.edu). From a personal standpoint, it is the most terrifying thing in the world. When I was in the second grade, a tornado hit our elementary school, which is jsut three miles from our house. Its path was across one of my dad's fields across from our house. It hit three family friend's houses and killed my dad's best friend. A tree fell on our house. It took days to clean everything up, and ever since then I have been terrified on them. That is why I think they are the most terrifying thing in the world and have absolutly no idea why God created them. I will have to ask Him that one day! Smiling
