The best experience I have had in a group was last semester in OLS 388 - Leadership through Teams. We worked in the same group all semester. Throughout the semester we had many small activities and 2 projects. The two projects were based on a movie and how a team worked in the movie. We did our projects over "National Treasure." At first we were all a little quiet. One day we decided to meet for lunch after class. This really helped us to get to know eachother, and from that point on we worked very well together in our teams. One of the objectives of the class was learning how to deal with diversity. Many of the groups had a mix of race and gender. My group consisted of five caucasion males. This may have been one reason we worked so well together. Another reason was meeting outside of class. When you are in class you only talk about class. When we met for lunch, we talked about hobbies and social life which really gets you to know a lot more about a person.
